I use cmd/ctrl in my other apps for multi cursor and not opt/alt.

Proposed solution

Let the user customize the hotkey for multiple cursors

I believe this has also been suggested here:

Ability to multi-cursor select with keyboard

I know we can hold cmd and click to select multiple cursors. But it would be great to be able to do the same with the keyboard. Like atom and sublime text does.
