Cursor should be at the end of document when using template

When using template file to create a new note, I’d expect the cursor to be at the last line of the file. However, please correct me if my expectation is misplaced.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a template with some text and edit settings to use the template
  2. Create a new daily note using shortcut

Expected result

  • Cursor is placed at the last line in the file

Actual result

  • Cursor is at the start of the file

Environment

  • Obsidian 0.7.3
  • MacOS Catalina 10.15.6
  • Custom CSS: No

I think this has been fixed

Not fixed for me for the daily note plugin template. On v0.10.06.

the daily note is a different matter. I am not sure it makes sense to start from the end.
