Creating a new note in canvas fills the note with backlinks

What I’m trying to do

I’m working on making notes in Canvas. Each time I make a new note (see the “Kinesin” note), it fills the note with all of these links. I would still like backlinks listed at the bottom of the note, but clearly, I can’t work with the notes being filled like that.

Things I have tried

I have tried disabling backlinks and restarting the application. Any help is appreciated.

How do I stop this from happening but still keep the backlink functionality?

Probably there is some plugin, that makes this job? You can turn it off
