Given that a parent folder can be nested and/or scrolled beyond view, I think it’d make a lot of UX sense if it was possible to create a note at its intended parent by right-clicking a sibling in that folder. In other words, “New Note/Folder/Canvas” context item should be available also over non-folder items.
