Create a new drawing does not work (V1.9.19 on Windows)

What I’m trying to do

I just installed the latest Excalidraw Version 1.9.19 on my Windows laptop. After the enablement of the plugin I can see the “Create new Drawing” icon but nothing happens after pressing it. It seems not to work.

The creation of a new drawing seems also not to work if I am using the available commands in the Obsidian command palette.

Any ideas?
