Corrupted plugin stops Obsidian from loading

Things I have tried

I’ve tried copying a backup of the plugin folder to the .obsidian directory, with no effect.

I need to remove a plugin without being able to start Obsidian.

If I delete the plugin folder from .obsidian, will that remove it from that startup list?

Did for me in the test I just did (of deleting one plugin from the plugin folder).

There is also a file with the list of plugins .obsidian/community-plugins.json. You might also want to delete the line that has the problematic plugin.

(Just be careful with json format if you are hand-editing the files. Every line has a comma at the end, except the last one.)
