Correct File Pathway for Daily Notes & Templates

I’m at my wit’s end. I’ve installed Obsidian my Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 several times but I can’t get the app to recognize the location of the Daily Notes or Templates folders inside the vault.

I’ve used location names as simple as “Daily Notes” and as long as “storage/emulated/0/Documents/Daily Notes” without success. The app lets me create a Daily Note only if I leave the location field empty. Since it won’t recognize any path to the Templates folders I can’t use any templates at all.

I think the folders in the path need to already exist. Was that the case for the ones you tried?

The path needs to start at the vault root, so that’s why “storage/emulated/0/Documents/Daily Notes” doesn’t work.

I’ve tried every variation I can think of and Obsidian still can’t find the folders. I’m disappointed in Obsidian’s user support, too. As in there isn’t any.
