Control-L shortcut missing?

What I’m trying to do

I previously had control-L custom bound in macos to show the launchpad. however, i have reset that default and i would like to be able to use it for the default function which is to centre my screen view on where the cursor is. it works in other word processing apps and all the rest of the text navigation shortcuts (e.g. control-b and control-f etc.) work fine. is there a way i can fix this? or does control-L even work at all in obsidian for this function?

By default, Ctrl+L toggles checkboxes in Obsidian. I wonder if deleting Obsidian’s hotkey would allow your system hotkey to be in effect.

In Settings > Hotkeys > Toggle checkbox status, tap the x beside the hotkey combo:

Thank you for your reply! I must apologise, I forgot to mention that I am in MacOS, so this function is actually bound to Command + L, but Control + L does not seem to have a bind. Out of curiosity, I still did unbind this, but it did not have an effect unfortunately. I may consider trying to uninstall and reinstall obsidian completely and/or clearing any app cache, although I have not found myself missing the centre cursor function as much as I anticipated, so I may keep putting this off for now! Thank you again for your reply!
