Hello
Since the last recent update, I found this bug on my iPhone/iPad:
I create a file/note in Obsidian on Mac.
(it is a text. I take out from a word file and paste into Obsidian.)
The file name appears when I use the folder option on the left column in iPad/iPhone Obsidian application.
The file name also appears when I do a search.
However, when I choose the file to open and read it, the text inside the note does not exist, the note seems empty….
I go to the folder application on the device, I searched the file and I click on it.
It opens again obsidian and only then the text reappears in the iPhone/iPad application.
6 it does not seem to be a problem of slow Internet connection as Even 24 hours after, the content of the note still does not appear unless I do step4 and 5.
Does anybody know something about this phenomenon?
Could it be related to a special formatting of the text in a word file from which I did copy and paste into Obsidian?
I noticed the same thing a while back. It was due to my iCloud storage, where I had my vault at the time, without obsidian sync… it resolved entirely when I opted for sync service through obsidian. Either way, I moved my vault out of iCloud and saved it to disk.
Thank you so much for responding.
As much as possible, I would like to keep the free sync using iCloud.
Do you know, is it possible to sync the vault through dropbox?
Unfortunately, I am only marginally familiar with Dropbox. Cannot speak to its capacity here in this regard… have you searched the forum? Perhaps others have; sadly I can only suggest to keep a local vault (completely local, no cloud service, etc.), as my disaster with iCloud was…… illuminating. I would imagine, fwiw, Dropbox may be more reliable than iCloud… but this is just a hunch not fact. Sorry
