I currently store my notes on a cloud drive (sync.com). I’m having an issue with publish: it creates thousands of “CONFLICT” files. So, I’m thinking about buying the Obsidian Sync service. How does it work? Are the files stored on y’alls cloud? Is so, how much storage space does the $4/mo buy me?
5 vaults, 4GB each.

Are you using more than one sync system at a time on the same folders? I ask that because if you do that, you will get conflict files as well.
I want to keep using both iCloud for the location of the vault and also Obsidian Sync, so I can keep the Version History feature. How to do that?
