Same here. it’s especially bad because it opens my attachment folder with 2750 files in it, so it freezes my entire computer
Please bump the priority on solving this one. I really have no need to expand every single folder in my vault and the performance hit is very visible in large vaults.
will be fixed 1.6.0
Good to know this is fixed. Looking forward to the next release.
I started a thread because of the same bug (didn’t know about this one) and I also shared something that could be implemented: a modifier key to change the button’s behavior AND icon:
So if I have a folder that’s expanded and the button is set to Collapse All, but instead I want to Expand All, I would hit the modifier key (on a Mac it could be CMD or Option, or I could set my own modifier key, which is even better), the icon would change to make it clear that it would Expand all folders, and when I click it, it expands all folders. Or if I want to Collapse All, then I would just click it, no modifier.
When there’s a mix of collapsed and expanded folders, we should be able to choose what we want to do. We don’t always want to expand all folders, but we also don’t always want to collapse all folders.
Why is this still not fixed…
