Steps to reproduce
- With 1.8.9 create a code block
- enter a line of text
- on a new line add a few space

Expected result
No indentation/collapse guides (vertical bar at the beginning of the line, downward caret for block collapse).
Actual result
Vertical bar and downward caret present, indicating the code block is not exempt from indentation recognition and block collapse.
This happens on both Windows and macOS. It is a regression from earlier versions, haven’t tested which 1.8 version first displayed this.
