Closing tab causes text to be pasted in next open tab

Steps to reproduce

  1. Copy some text into the clipboard.
  2. Open two tabs
  3. Close the second tab

Expected result

There are no changes in the first tab after closing the second tab.

Actual result

The some text is pasted into the first tab at the cursor location. Usually the clipboard text, but sometimes random other text that’s been recently interacted with.

Additional information

This is a very strange bug, but I’ve been encountering it frequently, and it’s quite troublesome. I’m not sure what exactly determines which text gets pasted, but it always seems to be text I’ve recently interacted with (including text from other windows).
