Steps to reproduce
- Open a note, and link a preview pane.
- Close the note
Expected result
I would expect the linked pane to close as well.
Actual result
The linked pane remained open.
Environment
- Operating system: Linux
- Obsidian version: 0.7.6
Additional information
Pretty sure this used to work, but can’t be positive.
I don’t think this is a bug, that’s just the design decision they made when choosing how tabs should work in obsidian (more like a web browser than most other markdown editors).
(And I personally like it this way!)
I confirm, this is design decision.
I see, ok. Any chance of a config flag for this? I like having a linked preview pane up while editing, but I find it a bit annoying to have to close twice. Using the ctrl-w close shortcut helps somewhat.
Its not a huge deal in any case, just takes some getting used to.
On a related note, I also find opening a preview pane unnecessarily difficult – it seems there is no option for it in the command palette – AFAICS you have to use the mouse and ctrl-click the preview icon.
