Closing a vault closes all vault

Steps to reproduce

Open two vaults, try to close one, both closes. I cant close the sandbox vault and keep my personal vault open…

Only the one vault I close to close, not the others.

How are you closing? What command or hotkey or button specifically?

This bug was fixed. Please, download and reinstall Obsidian.

Actually, I see this issue as bigger, because if you press F1 to open up a modal to go to Sandbox or if you go to Manage Vaults, closing either of those windows will close these modal windows and two other vaults as well (if I had more than one open).

Also, if you re-start Obsidian now, you get both closed vaults re-opened, instead of the lastly closed vault (which was how it used to work).

So, based on what I see happening on my Win11 install (fresh re-install with 1.12.4 exe) I cannot see this “fixed”.

Strange… The Releases · obsidianmd/obsidian-releases exe doesn’t have the fix, only the Download - Obsidian version does?

The latter works.

I can reproduce this on Obsidian 1.12.4 (latest version as far as I can tell) on Windows 11 Pro.

In my case, Obsidian fully crashes rather than only closing the affected window, and crash dump files are generated in the CrashDumps folder.

I also see crashes on this version when attempting to close the Help window.

I can provide the dump files from the CrashDumps folder if that would be helpful.

You can verify that by running the command “Show debug info” in Obsidian, and pasting the info here. Or just by looking in the Settings → General area, and seeing “Installer version”.

This issue is resolved for me.

I was confused because the version number was unchanged, so I did not download the newer build.
