ChromeOS Install Issue

Things I have tried

I’m running a Lenovo Duet 5.

  • I downloaded the AppImage version of the download
  • Executed “chmod u+x Obsidian-0.15.9.AppImage”
  • Executed “./Obsidian-0.15.9.AppImage”
  • I get back “./Obsidian-0.15.9.AppImage: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error”

I see others have done this, I don’t understand why it isn’t working for me.

What I’m trying to do

Install Obsidian on my Chromebook

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Note: I have installed the flatpak version on a Samsung Chromebook. It works fine but I get a message every time I start it about needing to upgrade to 0.15.9, even though that is the version the app says is running. I wanted to avoid that with the appimage version.

Thanks in advance,
Michael

Your Chromebook probably has an ARM-based cpu (Snapdragon 7c), try the arm64 appimage instead: Obsidian-0.15.9-arm64.AppImage
