Change image in a template depending on the day of the week

What I’m trying to do

I’m trying to build a template that changes one image depending on the weekday of the creation date. So a Monday creation will show, i.e., a moon, while a Tuesday will show a volcano. Or something similar.

Things I have tried

I tried handling this with the templater, but couldn’t quite figure out the proper command. I suspect it should be possible, I’m just not sure how.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Neat idea.

If you get no responses here, I’d check out the #templater channel in Obsidian’s Discord. Some seriously sharp folks in there.

Take a look at this post:

They use Japanese(?) characters for each weekday, but you could easily replace the character with a text or image reference of your choice.
