Certain file types are not added to the attachment folder

Hi,

it seems that Obsidian only recognizes certain file types / file name endings such as PDF, MP3, etc. While it does copy TXT, ORG, EPUB files to the designated attachment folder, the respective files do not show up in the editor view mode (see screenshots 1 & 2):

While I understand that certain functionality was never planned (see Thread: Drag and drop attachment to a note to embed from Obsidian File Explorer, I think such a feature / bug fix might worth a discussion.

The ability to add all kinds of files to the library might be very useful indeed.

Yes, it might be - although intuitively it looks to me like a bug. Not supported file types should show up as other, or at least be named by file name ending.
