Hi everyone!
I’ve been using Obsidian as destination for my highlights from books for a while now. It works reasonably well as long as there’s mostly text, even when highlighting a PDF (I’m using PDF Expert iOS app and some painstaking search-and-replace editing for that).
However, I can’t seem to work out a way to highlight a proper ML textbook with actual math in it. If you highlight the text and export it in bulk, then type in the formulas afterwards, it just takes silly amounts of time, even when using MathPix Snip to parse formulas. If you parse the whole thing into Markdown first and put it into the Obsidian, then try to tame it in there, you end up with this clunky non-couch-friendly reverse book writing process.
Anybody got any tips on how set up the tools to get highlights from a math book the way you would from an all-text book? The tools seem to be there, but I can’t figure out how to put them together…
