Canvas – When exporting a Canvas as an image using the “Viewport Only” option, the “Privacy Mode” option does not work

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a new Canvas
  2. Place several nodes on the canvas
  3. Export the Canvas as an image with the following settings:
    • Viewport: Viewport only
    • Privacy mode: ON

Expected result

Canvas content is exported as an image in accordance with the functionality of the Privacy Mode option

Actual result

Canvas content is exported as an image, but the Privacy mode option enabled during export has no effect on the Canvas content

Additional information

  1. At first, I suspected that the issue might be related to the size of my canvas, similar to this Bug Report (Canvas: "export as image" tiles overlap), but I was able to reproduce it even on a very small canvas.

  2. When exporting the Canvas as an image with the following settings:

    • Viewport: Full canvas
    • Privacy mode: ON

    … no issues arise – Privacy mode works correctly. The problem only occurs with Viewport: Viewport only
