Canvas: Frame rate issues when zooming and panning with trackpad

Steps to reproduce

  • Update Obsidian to the latest version
  • Creating a canvas

Expected result

  • Nice and smooth UX

Actual result

  • When using Trackpad’s two-finger movement to panning Canvas, it feels like the Cavnas display area changes “out of hand”. This means that when the display area moves, it feels like it is lagging behind. If I use the space bar + three fingers to panning Canvas, this problem disappears.

  • Personally, I feel that Canvas is a little bit less smooth (Insufficient UI refresh rate, or frame loss?) whether scaling or panning, it seems that the UI refresh rate is not enough. As an example, you can refer to Xmind’s experience of editing area changes when zooming and panning.

Environment

  • Operating system: macOS 11.6.5
  • Obsidian: v1.1.8
