Use case or problem
When exporting a bigger canvas as an image while setting the Viewport setting to Full canvas — which is the default behaviour — Obsidian will move through the canvas rapidly to take many screenshots of it.
However, the user can still manipulate the view during this, which then results in a broken image being created.
The thing I find more urgent is that this seems very much to be “rapidly moving images”, so depending on the canvas content this has the potential to cause some epileptic seizures.
Proposed solution
I think it would be good to add a warning to the dialog at the bottom — or as part of the Viewport section when Full Canvas is selected — that says something like
"hey, Obsidian will have to scroll through the canvas to take detailed screenshots of it. Please do not interact with Obsidian during this time as it might break the created image. Depending on the canvas this process might take a while.
Please be also aware that this involves rapidly changing images, so this might be a risk when you have epilepsy or other warning bits"
Phrasing isn’t meant to be the actual proposed formulation, just to convey the idea.
