Can't tab out of "list" properties

Steps to reproduce

  1. Edit values for a “list” property type, such as “aliases”.
  2. Hit “tab” to move to next property.
  3. Instead of jumping to next property, tab selects top value from the drop-down menu. If this value is already in the field, the cursor becomes “stuck” and there is no way to tab out of the field.

Reproduced in Sandbox vault.

Expected result

Tab key should move cursor to next property.

Actual result

Tab key acts like “enter”.

After editing properties, press “Escape” to end editing. Then you can continue pressing tab to cycle through properties.

Thanks Liam, this is helpful. Is there a particular reason though why “list” properties behave differently from others, such as “tags”?

Also, having just tested this, I find that if I’m editing a property I have to hit “escape” twice to select the whole property. However, if I’m editing a “list” value, hitting “esc” once is enough to allow me to tab to the next property (while staying in editing mode). Not sure if this is intended behaviour or not.
