See at a glance what mode I’m in.
Switch between reading and edit modes with mouse.
I don’t know about Minimal Theme, but maybe you have the “Tab Title Bar” deactivated? That’s where the Icon is.
You can find that setting under Settings > Appearance > Show tab title bar
You’re right, it’s there. I deactivated that to save real estate but didn’t realise it affects the read/edit icon and a whole menu of stuff besides.
That option should come with a warning, or even better, get those items out of there.
