Steps to reproduce.

  1. Install obsidian_0.9.1_amd64.snap using the --dangerous flag.
  2. Select Open folder as vault when greeted with the welcome window.

Expected result.

I should be able to use the system file explorer to select a folder of Markdown files.

Actual result.

The application opens a system file explorer with all characters displayed as vertical rectangles (U+25AF). The locations listed in the left column don’t seem to correspond with the structure of my filesystem. The window doesn’t respond to resizing shortcuts.

Environment.

  • Operating system: Fedora 32 (Workstation Edition)
  • Obsidian version: 0.9.1

Is this reproducible with the AppImage? What is your Installer version?

The AppImage works fine. Its installer version is v0.9.1.
