Can't move notes by clicking and dragging, only by Ctrl-P or right-click and "Move file to..."

Steps to reproduce

Click and drag a note. Not only does it not move, it doesn’t even act like it’s going to move.

The note moves to where it is when I let go of the mouse button.

Additional information

This is a brand new Windows computer that I’m setting up. I downloaded and installed Obsidian and linked it to my vault that I had transferred from my old drive to my new one. I can edit existing files just fine. I also use iOS; moving by long tap and swiping works fine there in the same synced vault.

I can’t reproduce.

Does is happen in the sandbox vault?

Where are you clicking exactly?

What’s the pointing device?

If yuo are new to the forum, you can’t post links directly but you can add them in `inline code`

It also happens in Sandbox.

I click on the name of a note in the navigation sidebar folder tree area, and drag from one folder to another. It wouldn’t actually move the file.

However, I just tried again now and it’s working. I have no idea what changed other than I waited half an hour and tried again. I guess you can feel free to close this report if you want.

Speculation: Perhaps a vault has a marker in it that indicates that it is a synced/remote vault and edits to the structure of the vault won’t work until a sync is completed?

Though, thinking again (can’t edit), that wouldn’t explain why it was also happening int he Sandbox.

My guess is that it happens with large vaults?

1.12.7, restricted mode, only theme enabled as I’m working on it, no snippets enabled.

The Ukiyo theme known to have the drag&drop lag, as I was debugging the lag, it’s happening too with the default Obsidian theme, I can’t add links here, if you search “Ukiyo theme lag when dragging files” you can find it.
