Moved to help section

results in a tasks query now show “Filter by descriptic”

what is descriptic? internet searches are useless, always assuming I am asking for “description”

The search button on this forum also shows no results!

Where can I find an explanation?

OR what I really want is not to show that line.

Steps to reproduce

any simple tasks query like:
done today

Expected result

list of tasks plus a task count
if I include “limit 0” then I expect either “0 out of …” if there are tasks or “0” if there are no tasks.

Actual result

top of results shows an icon plus “Filter by descriptic”

Environment

latest Obsidian public release

I don’t understand what you are talking about.

I am not even sure you have a problem with obsidian or a third party plugin.

If you say you don’t understand what I am talking about, that means that you have checked your tasks queries results and they do not have that line at the top? It is not a new feature of the tasks plugin?

Then what could be creating that statement “Filter by descriptic”?

Sorry! Tasks plugin has created a new toolbar at the top of their results. I will check the plugin options for how to deal with it.

For some reason mine says Filter by descriptic instead of description.

“Descriptic” looks like a typo, but you can check the plugin’s docs to be sure. If it is, you can report it on the Issues page of the plugin’s GitHub. (The GitHub is linked near the top of the plugin’s description, and the docs should be either in the description or linked in it. You can view the plugin’s description by going to Settings > Community Plugins and clicking on its name.)
