Cannot paste an accent colour

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to settings → Appearance
  2. Open the colour picker
  3. Set it to hex
  4. Try pasting a 6-digit hexadecimal value

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [N]

Why would I need to do that? This is a totally fresh/virgin/default install. Only added one plugin that I can’t do without.

Expected result

Colour gets pasted and applied.

Actual result

  1. Field gets cleared. Whether colour on the clipboard contains a # or not.
  2. Accent colour becomes black, even though no colour has been selected.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Community plugins: for bugs, please first try updating all your plugins to latest. If still not fixed, please try to make the issue happen in the Sandbox Vault or disable community plugins.

This is a limitations of chrome color picker

Clearly it can take a paste, or it wouldn’t empty the field. So what does it expect me to paste there?

Let me double check this, I might be confusing with a other part of the UI.

yes I confirm it’s using the native color picker that doesn’t support paste

In chrome, go here and try for yourself
