Hi I am just learning Obsidian and starting to use template folder. I was wondering - is it possible to create different subfolders within the template folder and then have templates in each of these subfolders? Or it is a prerequisite that templates can only exist in the main template folder and not within subfolders?

Yup, that works. Although I never tested if all plugins support that.

Tested with:

  • (built-in) Templates
  • Templater plugin
  • Hotkeys for templates plugin
