Can the IOS obsidian app reach folders outside of its own data directory?

Things I have tried

To select a folder to be used as my vault that is not inside the app folder.

What I’m trying to do

To select a folder that is synced by another software to be used as my vault, but since it is not synced inside the obsidian app, can I still pick and use it? Or is the only way to move it out into the app, and back in to be synced?

Only iCloud Drive/Obsidian and On My iPhone/Obsidian are options at the moment.

Working Copy is a Git-based app that can be used for syncing that can connect to these folders. Otherwise, the only viable iOS sync options are iCloud Drive and Obsidian Sync.
