I’m on a Macbook Air using os Sonoma 14.7.
I recently had my computer auto update and now when I open Obsidian I cannot access my vault. It shows it is there among the other helper vaults I’ve downloaded but none of them will open.
I’ve tried:
accessing command palette using key strokes and menu.
to show debug report using dropdown menu and command palette.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Obsidian (1.6.7)
Reforced a reload: it asks if I want to open something I downloaded from internet, like always, and will go through the ‘loading plugins’ screen and start ‘loading workspace’ screen but stops there and all I get is a black screen.
This happens with any vault that is not the Obsidian Sandbox vault.
Last thing I tried:
So the “application” Obsidian is on my computer in applications but my vaults were uploaded to iCloud. I’ve made a copy of the vaults folder and moved it to my public folder located on my mac - and this has helped with opening the vault and loading plugins but all the md files in MY vault fail to open. The other vaults seem to be working find now.
This happens with any vault that is not the Obsidian Sandbox vault.
I’ve run out of ideas and would really appreciate some guidance.
