Right after initial install Obsidian comes with two-panes window. The second pane was in linked mode:

But after you click on Unlink pane button (or just close the pane) the button disappears and I can not find a way to bring it back or link the second pane using keyboard hotkey.

Bug?

Got it. One should Ctrl/Cmd+click the preview or edit button when a Markdown file is open to create a linked pane. Docs->Working with Multiple files-> Use linked panes for previewing.

Not a bug, but feature! :wink:

Yup! You can only “create” linked panes, unlink them, but not link them arbitrarily for now.
