Can I change how clicking on nodes inside local graph work?

What I’m trying to do

I want to avoid opening a note when clicking on a node in local graph. I would like to make it so it opens only when clicking with Ctrl modifier.

Is there a way to change the behavior of clicks?

i don’t think so…

you can try long-pressing on a node and drag (to see which nodes/notes are immediately connected – well, that’s done on hover as well – if your depth is set to deeper)

…i’d actually like long-press – or some other way – on mobile to bring up the page preview as well…

Not what I’m looking for unfortunately. It’s sad this can’t be accomplished on laptop when it works like that on mobile.

maybe put a backlinks pane next to or below your graph and do your clicks there
there’s even backlinks in the another quick switcher plugin with some extra or different functionality

This is probably too much friction, but:

It might be possible for a CSS snippet to disable clicking in the local graph. There is a community plugin that enables you to quickly toggle snippets, which you could then use to make the graph clickable when you wanted.
