**Once you’ve done the above, delete everything above this line.** ### Steps to reproduce The following tests are in the sandbox. Link local images in markdown files, which have been tested so far in webp format. Then modify the image in photoshop, obsidian does not update the content of the image modification in real time. Try to close the TAB and open it again, but it still won’t update the image. ### Did you follow the [troubleshooting guide](https://forum.obsidian.md/t/about-the-bug-reports-category/24/10)? [Y/N] Yes ### Expected result The content of the image is modified by the outside world, and the content of the image will be updated in real time in markdown, such as the local image linked in EXcalidraw can be effectively updated, but markdown cannot do it ### Actual result No updated modified image content ### Environment windows 10 * * * ### Additional information ---

For locally linked images, the cache can be refreshed only after obsidian restarts ---

I can’t reproduce. Closing and opening a tab is enough. Please, post a screen recording of this happening in the sandbox vault. ---

you did not say before that the image was outside the vault. Nevertheless, I can’t reproduce. ---

I’ve done this in a sandbox, and the steps are extremely simple. Images are sometimes updated, but most of the time they are not updated With the same changes, the file:/// link in EXcalidraw updates the changes to the image in real time But not in markdown Even in the sandbox, many times it will not be updated ---

Can you update the image changes in real time as in EXcalidraw ---

I don’t know what excalidraw does and I can’t reproduce this bug. For me, when I close and reopen the tab, the updated image appears. I’ll keep this BR open in case some other user can provide more details. ---
