Bullet points acting up

When I press the backspace, the whole sentence with the bullet point goes upwards instead of just the bullet point being removed.

I don’t know if this is a bug or glitch or something that’s happening just for me.

This is what is happening:

Suppose I wrote-
(The asterisk is a bullet sign)

  • This is a text.
  • This is a text too.

Now, If I try to remove the second bullet using a backspace on the bullet point to make it look like this:

  • This is a text.
    This is a text too.

It ends up looking like this:

  • This is a text. This is a text too.

Can anyone help? Basically I just want to remove the bullet point and stay on the same line

When you start with the two bulleted items, I believe you need to backspace until they’re in the same line and then hit shift enter.

yeah, this is a better thing to do, thanks a lot!

But the sentence comes in the next line without the bullet point using shift+enter but the bullet point remains in the line above with the space next to it blank

And wasn’t that you wanted?! What so you want it to look like when you’re done?
