There’s so many ways to do this, I don’t know where to start.
In a lesson we might have:
- students (i.e. Bob, Jill)
- topics (i.e. Science, Zettlekasten)
- ‘methods’? (i.e. grammar, spelling, story)
- materials/media (i.e. game, website, pdf, youtube etc)
I’d like to somehow arrange everything so all the stuff that each student has done in each lesson can be summerised onto a student profile page. The same goes for the different topics.
I’m not sure how to do that?
I think it’s something to do with dataview or note refactoring. If it’s dataview, what kind of workflow keywords should I search for?
I don’t quite follow what u mean by summarising lesson and topic on the student’s page/note. Shouldn’t the data capture/entry happen on the student’s page/note?
Or are you saying in the lesson page u would enter every student taking that lesson?
I’d like to be able to go both directions ideally,
but mainly I’d like data entry to be from the lesson plan, going from there into student’s profiles
i don’t think dataview support two-way linking (yet?). afaik, you must choose where u enter your data and pull dataview query accordingly
