[Bug] Obsidian menus obscured by iPad menu when right clicking/Two-Finger tap

Platform

[X ] iOS
[ ] Android

Obsidian Mobile version: v1.4.
iPadOS version: 16.1

If you right click on something, it pulls up an iPad menu that obscures the Obsidian one. As you can see in the photo, right clicking on the open tab pulls up the Obsidian menu, but it is obscured by a native iPad menu. The same thing happens when you try right clicking almost anywhere in the app…

Does the same thing happen when you long press? (It doesn’t for me.)

No, you’re right. Long pressing works, but right clicking bring up the ipad menu

Curious! I’ll test right-clicking whenever I find my mouse.

Testing on an iPadOS 16.2 seems to have this bug fixed - any chance you can upgrade and let us know if this only affects iPadOS 16.1?

EDIT: It seems like 16.2 is currently still beta, I bet it’d fix things once it’s released.

Using Magic Keyboard with trackpad on iPad Pro

Additional information

We get the expected result when using a mouse. We also get the expected result when using a trackpad and doing a two finger click instead of tap.

I was able to reproduce this. It looks like iPadOS 16.3.1 introduced a new native menu for right-click actions that includes “select-all” by default.

My observation with iPadOS 16.3.1:

  • create a note with a single line: [[someting]]
    • right click anywhere, the obsidian context menu can be called up.
  • input anything other than that in the note, eg: [[someting]]abc
    • right click anywhere, it will call the system context menu

We believe this to be an Apple’s problem. Let us know if it happens in 16.4.
