[Bug] Android Gboard [Enter] key in Command Palette or Quick Switcher

Steps to reproduce

  1. Swipe down to activate command palette
  2. Start typing to search for a command
  3. Press the enter key to run the highlighted command

Expected result

The enter key should select the command regardless of the search occurring first.

Actual result

The enter key works immediately after the command palette is opened (with the initial pinned command), however after searching, it does nothing. (Despite the highlight appearing for the top command in both cases)

Additional information

I’ve tried the same with Hacker Keyboard, and the enter key works correctly, so it must be GBoard’s enter key not always sending the same keycode for some reason.

The same issue also occurs for the Quick Switcher.

I can confirm this bug also happens for me using Gboard. Using Samsung Keyboard is just fine
