Bases: Display the total number of files currently visible in the view

Use case or problem

I think it is very interesting to know how many files are currently displayed in a specific view of a Base - that could tell us very quickly how many notes of a specific type (filter) we have.

Proposed solution

Allow us to display the total number of files currently visible in a Base-View

  • ideally we can configure this to be at the top or the bottom of the base
  • ideally this is toggleable - probably this information is not always neccessary

Hey Flummic,

thats great! I love this in Notion. I like this in Capacities.

With the new “Bases” I think I can now only “live” in Obsidian. But this feature has to improve.

This number / numbers are very interesting and for me very important.

Thanks for adding this request! Hope the Obsidian-Team will do it asap! Thanks!

As of Obsidian v1.9.2 I personally consider this request to be solved as we now get the number of files at the top of each base

Thank you for the great work as always dear obsidian devs/team!
