- Navigate to

- Tap dropdown for
Base color system
- Select
Adapt to system
- Wait for iOS to switch to light or dark mode at iOS level
- Return to Settings / Appearance / Base color system
- Observe that drop down will have switched to the last iOS-level dark or light mode
