Steps to reproduce
Unfortunately I have been unable to reproduce this bug in the sandbox. I’ve followed all troubleshooting steps to this point, including disabling all plugins, reinstalling Obsidian, and checking to see if I could replicate in the sandbox.
Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y]
Expected result
When creating backlinks between notes (using either the right-click contextual menu or by wrapping an unlinked message in square brackets), the graph view will update to reflect that link and the side panel of backlinks will show under the “Linked mentions” tab.
Actual result
Linked mentions never get moved to the “Linked mentions” tab and remain showing as unlinked. The graph view does not reflect any links between notes. Additionally, attempting to link a mention through the “Unlinked mentions” tab on the side panel will continually wrap the mention in square brackets if you keep clicking “Link.”
Possibly related, in the settings tab under “Core plugins” I enabled “Show backlinks at the bottom of notes” to see if that would show anything different then the side panel. It did not, but attempting to disable the setting would no longer work and the backlinks continued to be shown at the bottom of every document even after multiple application restarts. Disabling the plugin entirely worked, but after attempting to re-enable it seems to be completely broken, with no linked or unlinked mentions loading at all and the “Show backlinks at the bottom” setting not working at all.
