Backlink itself on the its page

Does anybody [[backlink]] itself on the same page? For example if the file is “car.md” and every mention of the word “car” is written [[car]].

Obsidian doesn’t show in “Unlinked mentions” if you mentioned “car” without backlinking it. It would show up in the “Linked mentions” once you write it as [[car]]. Is this an inconsistency issue?

I’m writing my study notes this way and I’m still trying to figure out if there are any benefits to do backlinks like this. It gets taxing when I have to deliberately search and replace with (CTRL/CMD+H), just for the sake of consistency and hoping it might be useful in the future.

If I recall correctly, it was fixed as a bug, since keeping referring to the current note itself seems to be of little use (I might be wrong).
