Attachment file does not show up in the file explorer

Steps to reproduce

  1. create files with extensions not listed in the Accept file formats, such as “abc.123”, “test.dwg”
  2. drag these files into a note.
  3. as you can see in screenshot below, these files are added to the vault and can be shown in the local graph.

Expected result

these files show up in the file explorer pane as well, perhaps with the file extension for the best.

Actual result

these files are not listed in the file explorer pane at all.

Environment

  • Operating system: MacOS
  • Obsidian version: 0.11.6

Additional information

FYI: the Accepted file format, according to the Obsidian Help, are:

  1. Markdown files: md;
  2. Image files: png, jpg, jpeg, gif, bmp, svg, tiff;
  3. Audio files: mp3, webm, wav, m4a, ogg, 3gp, flac;
  4. Video files: mp4, webm, ogv;
  5. PDF files: pdf.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. It saved people a lot of time.

Actually, the post you cited solved my problem. :smile:

As I turned on the switch in Files settings to recognize all file extensions, it turns out that the attachments are shown up in the file explorer pane correctly.
