Associate information directly with a task?

What I’m trying to do

Record/store information associated with the resolution of a task.

Things I have tried

Have only tried the obvious things but can’t find a solution. What I would like to do is record (via regular text etc) what action was taken associated with the completion of a task. There are a few ways which I can think to do this but none of them really seem to work, much less be ideal.

Possible solutions

• Create a link to a task itself, although this doesn’t seem to be possible. This seems like it would be ideal.
• Create a note/file which contains nothing but the single task, with the resolution information being added to that note. This is non ideal as the task itself cannot be the note title, which would cause all sorts of problems.
• Something else or more clever?

I’d at an inline field with that information to the task itself, like [resolution:: Bought my way out of the issue]. When using dataview you can then build queries of the completed task showing all the resolutions and/or original text.

I don’t think you can do the same using only the Tasks plugin.
