Let’s say you have a page for J.R.R. Tolkien

Type: “Person” or “Author”
Aliases: Tolkien, James Ronald Reuel Tolkien

Then, when creating a page for e.g. The Hobbit and entering the property “Author”, “J.R.R. Tolkien” shows up in the list of suggestions.

Also, it might make it possible to link the author to their page, no matter if he is listed as “Tolkien” or “J.R.R. Tolkien”.
Meaning, clicking on the author’s name would open up their page.

If you have put “J.R.R. Tolkien” in any note’s “Author” field, it will appear in the suggestions for “Author”. I believe if you enter it as “[[J.R.R. Tolkien]]” instead, it will work as a link. (But if you have both, I believe they’ll be treated as separate values.)

I was using your example as an example. What are you wanting to do that isn’t covered by the existing functionality?
