Android unable to scroll using trackpad

Steps to reproduce

On an Android Tablet, using an external keyboard with a track pad, I can not scroll using the trackpad. The scrolling method using a trackpad is, placing two finger on the pad at the same time, and moving them up or down.

Is this a new problem or this worked in the past?

Having the exact same issue, it has worked fine in the past but roughly one week ago it stopped working. Scrolling using trackpad is still working in every other app. No plugins installed, tried reinstalling and that hasn’t fixed it.

where is the trackpad not working? In Live Preview, Source mode, Reading mode, in canvas in graph view, everywhere?!?

Here is where Im running into issues.

  • In source mode, reading mode, and live preview(if that’s the name for the ‘normal’ editing mode)
  • Im also unable to open the left and right side bars via swiping left and right using two fingers on the trackpad.
  • Im unable to scroll in the files view or any other view in the left menu
  • Unable to scroll in the command menu

I am on Samsung Galaxy tablet and this change occured in the last 3 days.

I have the same issue since February.
I am on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8.
The issue is present across the entire app, in all view-modes, in menus and settings.
However, I have also observed the same issue in some other apps. In Chrome, but the issue was fixed recently, and in the app “Moodle”.
Oddly enough, the scrolling works when spacing your two fingers really far apart from each other on the trackpad.

If the issue was present in chrome browser and was fixed recently, it’s likely an upstream problem with the Android WebView System app (it’a the chrome engine used by android).

It should get resolved once a newer version is pushed.

You were right. With the Version 133.0.6943.121 of Android System Web View, the issue is fixed for me.
