It stopped working a few weeks ago ![]()
This sounds like the same thing as an issue I reported a while ago. It seemed to be a webview bug at the time, and updating it or switching webview providers is supposed to fix it, but I’ve just heard that apparently having accessibility settings active can break it. If that is the case, which it seems to be from my personal experience (only my devices get this, while my family who don’t use accessibility are all fine) then I really hope there is a real fix possible besides uninstalling those apps. I need some overlay-producing apps active to use my phone and have barely been able to use obsidian anymore for like a year now because of this issue, even after getting a new phone.
For your case, maybe try updating your webview or installing canary or beta webview? That’s what was recommended for me back then!
This is WebView problem, however it’s not the same issue as the one you had in past.
There is upstream work (by Chromium) to address this issue. Howver the fix hasn’t been distributed yet. So, Upgrading WebView now won’t fix this problem. I will write in this thread when a fix is deployed.
I have an issue and I think it’s related to this but using the img tags

Im having same issues.
Long press on a note and I can move it to desired folder. And then the screen freezes. Any help much appreciated as my vault is crucial to my research and using my phone app is very useful for my workflow.
Heres my debug…

+1; Having the same issue
I found a workaround on my Samsung Android: the issue was caused by an enabled Accessibility service from an app called “Auto Clicker”. After disabling Auto Clicker in Android Settings → Accessibility → Installed apps, Obsidian stopped freezing when long-pressing folders/files. So before downgrading WebView, it may be worth checking enabled Accessibility services or overlay apps.
This bug was fixed upstream. Now we have to wait until the fix arrives in your devices as newer version of android webview are distributed automatically.
The versions with the fix are:
149.0.7827.195+
and
150.0.7871.41+
