When it comes to Note Taking, Browsing the Web and taking Notes from it is a very common thing we do… And this is not limited to only browsing and copying the notes and links, we may need some additional operations…
But before talking about the additional operations, I think it is better to highlight my main personal preferences for the plugin developer to consider…
- Take Necessary Privacy and Security Measures for the Browsing
- Should have the ability to integrate Desktop Browser/Browsers within Obsidian
Ability to integrate our Regular Browser gives us access to all our Browsing History, Bookmarks, Logins, Extensions, etc…
And also this Browsing should not be limited to the Browser we can even integrate our File Explorer where we can search for files review them if required, which are outside obsidian…
In this case the main feature will be integrating our Desktop Browser, anyway if anyone prefers to not integrate they can have it that way with ability to full fledged browsing experience with bookmarks, extensions etc…
My preferred browser is Brave and I would love if I could use leo with it inside obsidian, integrating to my browser…
While every browsing will be stored when my browser which I integrated, there can come instance where I might need to keep something within obsidian, something like web clipper and also be able to download images directly to obsidian vault, it can have even more features which can be required…
Additionally, how about we can use external applications within obsidian… Example, I have an excel file inside obsidian, and if I can open it inside obsidian using excel…
And then next comes taking notes from videos, when we take notes from videos, for me transcripts, ai summary, timestamping, floating window, etc… are crucial… And always, youtube is not only the source for it, we may learn from other platforms as well… So ability to get that functionality also would be great…

- It loads more than usual - YouTube Timestamping
- Media Notes
- Showing a Black Screen - YouTube Timestamping
I hope that I have mentioned everything, let me know your thoughts on this… By the way I am not a developer, just a user who would like to have these functionalities…
