Adding back to top syntax feature to obsidian

It’d be nice to be able to quickly insert “back to top” under headings or anywhere at the end of headings

Current workaround (optional)

Currently can create a heading on top of page and then can reference the heading as back to top in the text. Also Outline plugin can be used to navigate. But it would be nice to be able to insert quickly back to top of the page without having to setup a heading on top of page just for that and then rename the reference to “Back to top” every time.

  • In command palette, “Go to first line”.
  • On Mac, Cmd ↑ (Windows/Linux might be Ctrl ↑).
  • On mobile, you can add the “Go to first line” command to the toolbar.
  • On iOS/iPadOS tapping the top of the screen scrolls to the top of the file.

Wow, good catch — that makes the post a lot clearer!

I think your suggestion is still best. Use the existing methods to jump to top from anywhere, anytime, instead of inserting a bunch of jump links in your document.
