As it is right now, the query block has a really limited use. Even adding basic sorting options would go a long way.

Will “query control” add into core plugin?

including a series of function :

  1. Always collapse search result when new tab open
  2. Render search result to MD
  3. Show search suggestion in “current file backlink and linked mention section”

Because third party plugin keep failing or contain bugs after Obsidian update.

Whilst Embedded Search Queries are a great tool, they aren’t as feature rich as some other native aspects of Obsidian and Sorting would be my big request for additions to the platform.

Currently also using Custom CSS to hide the Title, Search Icon, etc. but would also love to see this be natively customisable.

Good to see fellow, but rare, users of embedded searches.

FYI - a fork was made of nothingislost query control and is branched here:

Install via BRAT.

I was astounded and delighted to see that it works on iOS !

Looking forward to improvements to core Search and its embedded sibling.
